About Us

Reyzal Jasman was born in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur on July 13 1967.He started his carrier in 1987 as a street artist in Cherating, a popular tourist destination in the east coast of Malaysia. While there, he picked up batik art and specialized on it for 2 years. Reyzal moved to Johor Baharu in the 90s and lives there for 5 years doing predominantly batik art and while becoming fascinated with batik geckos, began using them as his favorite subject.

Reyzal's deep obsession with batik arts then lured him set up shop in Langkawi. There, inspired by the island's environment and natural beauty, he focused most of his paintings on the beautiful marine life and wild flowers, mainly orchids, which later became his trademark.

Throughout his illustrious career, Reyzal has helped and introduced foreigners and Malaysians alike to the advanced understanding of batik art by conducting batik demos and workshops. Reyzal has also traveled South East Asia in promoting batik from Malaysia.

He currently resides in Kuala Lumpur and is the resident batik artist at the Malaysia Tourism Centre in Jalan Ampang.
